Afternoon all! I'm back and ready to give you a little update on how the $400 PLO Event went at the Borgata and also my lil prop bet I have going on. At the PLO Event I felt I played really well. I went through the first few levels increasing my stack little by little. I had around 11k after level 6. Then I won two straight hands in the blinds and propelled my chip stack up over 35k. I was then moved to another table and got into a hand where against a kid who played his hand terribly. The blinds were $300/600 and I popped it to $2100 with AcJcJs4s. Villian called in the BB and we saw a flop of KsQs9c. He checked and I fired $3200. He called and the turn was a beautiful offsuit 10, which gives me the but straight. He checks again and I bet out $6,900. He had around $11k in the turn so I figured this would be the perfect bet. He would have to go all-in or fold. Well...he just called!! The river was a K which paired the board. He checks, I check. He shows bottom set of 9's. **Puke**. Oh well. A few hands later I was back up to around $46k then just dwindled down to $33k. With the blinds at $3k/6k I popped it UTG with KKQ6 to $21k. A guy repopped to $55k and I called to have him show AAxx. GG me. I ended up finishing in 29th place out of 250. They paid out 27 so it was a big disappointment for me.
Now to my prop bet. I have a little side bet with a buddy of mine. I have to turn a $100 deposit on Full Tilt into $10k within this year. The only stipulation is that I can't buy into a PLO cash game unless I have 10 buy-ins to the limit. So I am starting off at .05/.10 and I'm gonna work my way up. So far I have $183.05 in my account so all is well so far. I will keep you all posted.
Later!

Cash Games and Borgata Winter Poker Open
Lately I've been running really well playing the cash games right now. I'm currently up $2,040 for the month and haven't had a losing session yet....**knocking on wood** I mostly play 2/5 NL Holdem and a 5/5 Dealers Choice game at a local place that I play at. The games played during dealer's choice are: Razz, Stud, Stud H/L, Pot Limit Omaha, Pot Limit Omaha H/L, Chicago, and NL Holdem. On Saturday, I am entering into the $350+50 Pot Limit Omaha High event at the Borgata. This is event #5 for the Winter Poker Open. It starts at 1pm. If you would like to track the event as it's going on you can do so by placing this into the address bar.

Welcome All!
Hello all and welcome to my poker blog. I've decided to create a blog to share with all of you my road towards high stakes poker. Before I get into detail about how I've been doing so far this year I figured I would tell you all a little bit about myself. My name is Jason Twelves and I am a 24 year old aspiring poker pro. I currently live with my fiancee Carolann Hogan in Philadelphia, PA. I have many hobbies that include: snowboarding, partying, soccer, video games, volleyball, etc. We are expecting our first child. It's a girl! Her name is Kylie Marie and she is due on April 6th. I'm super excited for that and I can't wait until she is born. Right now I am currently working as an accounts payable manager but hope to get my bachelor's degree in accounting so I can get a job working for a private firm doing something in the accounting field. If there is anything else you would like to know, please feel free to leave me a comment or send me an instant message on AOL IM. (ShipFaced12) Well, that's it for now! Enjoy!
